Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin through the eyes of a Finnish psychiatrist

The Russians have a warm, sensitive, fair and productive person as their president.

Pirkko Turpeinen-Saari

In my opinion, Russian President Vladimir Putin is the only adult among European leaders.

If the reader stops reading after this sentence, this is how I offer the opportunity to do so.

I got to know President Putin's activities while living in Spain, already retired from the position of chief physician of youth psychiatry in the city of Helsinki, a position I held for 25 years.

As a result of the BBC's propaganda about the war in Iraq, I had switched to following the Aljazeera news channel, which even at the beginning of the 2000s, thanks to its Palestinian leader, was not as sympathetic to the USA as it is today.

Aljazeera broadcast live the meeting chaired by President Putin, where he set the conditions for the oligarchs on the framework of their activities. Some of the oligarchs, embittered, moved abroad with the wealth stolen from the people. Some of them use them in every possible way to smear President Putin and to fund opponents together with the US and British intelligence services.

Russia had been in chaos for 10 years as a result of US looting, theft of the state's gold reserves and Yeltsin's incompetence.

Yeltsin had recommended Vladimir Putin as his successor

I received information about Vladimir Putin's time in leadership positions in St. Petersburg from Sara Tennison, who leads US-Russian civic activism. According to him, Putin was one of the only ones who never took bribes.

                                                   ***

One of the challenges of President Putin's first presidential term was the United States' experience in leading a unipolar world. After the illegal bombings of Yugoslavia, the United States announced in 2000 that it would renounce compliance with international laws if they did not benefit the United States. At the same meeting in Bratislava, the United States announced the expansion of NATO from the Baltics to Odessa, Ukraine, even though in the 1990s it had been agreed between the leaders of the United States and Russia that NATO would not expand.

After the proxy war in Yugoslavia carried out by the United States with the help of the Nazi diaspora, the United States had broken all the agreements made after the Second World War, including the inviolability of state borders. The victims of World War II concentration camps, the Serbs, were demonized. The Serbian generals were sent to long prison sentences with the help of the American judges of the ICTY Yugoslavia Tribunal.

Instead, the Albanians of the province of Serbia, who violently sought a pure Albanian Kosovo, were rewarded by receiving an American military base in their province. Similarly, independent Croatia, which adopted a racist constitution, drove 250 Serbs from their homes in the Croatian Krajina, trained by US generals.

President Putin saw a new weapon-based policy of the United States towards his Slavic brother nation.

                                                 ***

After becoming president, Putin had as his dating partner the completely unrestricted United States, which itself set the conditions of its activities.

Nevertheless, President Putin acted independently and in compliance with international laws, reacting to provocations such as the armed attack on Tsinvali by the US-backed Saakashvili on August 8.8.2008, XNUMX.

The US attack against the democratically elected Syrian government and President Assad made Russia react to the country's request for military aid, in the same way as the Soviet Union had responded to the Afghan president's request for help at a heavy price in the 1980s, when the US acted as a collaborator of the jihadists there as in Syria and a year earlier in Libya.

Putin had seen how American leadership meant looting, color revolutions, violence and theft, and the displacement of democracy. The betrayal of the Iraq war after the bombing of Afghanistan in 2001 gave a foretaste of what can be expected if NATO expands.

                                                    ***

During the Syrian conflict, it was revealed how the NATO countries, especially the former colonial masters of the Middle East, France and Italy, but also Germany were ready to support all the illegalities of the USA. When the Syrian army liberated Aleppo, NATO officers from several countries came out of the tunnels.

In connection with the Syrian conflict, its designers Jeffrey Feltman and Volker Perthes continued their terrorist activities against Syria also as UN officials. Feltman continued the war as the right-hand man of the UN Secretary General, who enabled economic sanctions.

US President Obama was in power during the wars in Libya, Syria, Ukraine and Afghanistan. During his time in 2015, the US Congress authorized Obama to start a war against Russia without having to turn to the Congress.

                                                   ***

President Putin was faced with a situation in which the partners, instead of engaging in constructive cooperation for the good of all parties, were ready to handle relations only with the help of weapons. The UN, international courts and many international organizations had accepted the United States' unipolar world power as a reality.

US leaders, including Dick Cheney, have described US foreign policy as continuous robbery. The goal of the operation is to get the desired result with the help of weapons, economic sanctions and various dependencies.

Russia's gigantic country should be weakened and its influence on world politics should be nullified. With evil.

                                                 ***

As American arbitrariness approaches Russia's state borders in Georgia and Ukraine, President Putin has seen where growing injustice can lead.

President Obama, Vice President Biden and especially Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland planned and carried out the violent coup in Ukraine in 2014. Aaron Matel is publishing a book about the details of the coup, which has already been published in scientific texts.

The hijacking was carefully planned with ex-president Clinton, Hillary Clinton, the cream of the EU and Ukrainian oligarchs at a meeting in Crimea in September 2013. The goal was to privatize Ukrainian soil for US companies. The marketing agency Hill&Knowlton was hired to take care of anti-Russian propaganda and especially the demonization of President Putin.

Driving President Yanukovich into exile was an important goal of the coup. In connection with the hijacking, pro-Russian parties were abolished, Victoria Nuland elected the next prime minister, Yatsenyuk, and the deputy president Turchinov declared an "anti-terrorist war" on the residents of eastern Ukraine, who did not accept the democratically elected president being driven into exile and the parliament's bans on parties and language groups.

Delegations of Crimean residents had been on the Maidan to oppose the coup. On the bus ride back home, they were stopped in the middle of the journey and beaten by the Nazis.

The timing of the coup was opportune, after all, the Winter Olympics were held in Sochi at the same time, the realization of which had been the subject of enormous attention in Russia and throughout the world.

                                                        ***

President Turchinov and Prime Minister Yatsenyuk sent the Nazi force Right Sector to war against the mainly Russian-speaking Donbass of eastern Ukraine. The Nazis had more decision-making power than their parliamentary representation.

At the same time, instead of autonomy, the people of Crimea demanded independence and joining Russia, in order to be safe from the Nazis. A large part of the Ukrainian soldiers stationed in Crimea wanted to join the Russian army instead of the Ukrainian army, so there was no military resistance to Crimea becoming part of Russia.

Referendums were held in Crimea. First about independence and then about joining Russia.

                                                          ***

During the same spring, the Nazis burned alive in Odessa, Ukraine, more than 40 citizens who expressed their opinion in favor of democracy inside the trade union building. People burned because they weren't allowed out.

The support of the United States and other NATO countries that nurtured the Nazi diaspora in their country was unconditional for the new Ukrainian government. In the beginning of 2014, the mainstream media gave a somewhat realistic picture of the events in Ukraine, but as the civil war continued, the Western media started to unilaterally produce texts expressing Nazi culture.

The EU countries had been mediating the agreement drawn up between the Nazis and the country's government during the coup, according to which the elections would be brought forward and the disagreements would be resolved democratically. financed and trained mainly by foreign snipers.

Oliver Stone has an excellently directed documentary film about the history of Ukraine and the events of the Maidan.

                                                         ***

Since the EU countries had been in Crimea planning the takeover of Ukraine by multinational companies, they were not particularly interested in the solution to the civil war.

Negotiations were held in Minsk several times. The result of the last negotiation was an agreement whose guarantors were Germany (Merkel) and France (Hollande, later Macron)

The Minsk agreement was also supported by Russia and the aim was to guarantee autonomy for Donbass as part of Ukraine. The UN discussed and approved the Minsk Agreement.

Despite all the agreements, Ukraine's Nazi-dependent government continued its civil war against its own citizens. Nazi spirit in the country intensified, the entire culture was tried to be cleansed of all Russianness. Despite the fact that the native language of not only Donbass, but also other parts of Ukraine near the Black Sea was Russian, the use of the Russian language became forbidden except within the walls of the home. If the seller and the customer in the store were native speakers of Russian, they had to do business in Ukrainian.

Russian-language TV stations, newspapers, etc. were banned, Russian-language works in libraries or works by Russian authors were destroyed.

Try to imagine the inhabitants of Finland having to use only Swedish in their everyday life, Finnish-language health care, daycare centers, libraries and newspapers would be prohibited.

The nazification that started in Ukraine led to the nazification of the whole of Europe as a result of US-led information transmission and dependencies.

The European Union, led by the Commission, banned all communication from Russia. Even the bank accounts of Russia Today TV channel news reporters were cut off in Europe. Russia Today was the third most popular TV channel in Germany. With the help of this media censorship, the military technical operation started by Russia has been described as "the start of the war in Ukraine" "Russia's unprovoked, brutal attack" has been repeated in the Finnish news media for almost the third year, every hour in every news broadcast, current affairs broadcast, at the start of celebrations and at the end. Instead, "US proxy war on Ukrainians" soldiers to weaken Russia, where half a million Ukrainian soldiers have been sacrificed with the weapons and money of the USA and NATO countries, has been silenced.

Since the US did not want its European allies to treat the US coup in Ukraine as it happened, the public account of the process had to be changed.

The Donbass side of the Ukrainian civil war needed financial and military help from Russia. The Ukrainian government had denied the residents of Donbass schooling, social security and forced the population under constant bombardment to live in basements. The population received food aid and water from Russia.

The USA did not mention that the US intelligence service was already in Ukraine during the Maidan coup. The CIA had an entire floor at its disposal in the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine. NATO trained and armed Ukrainian soldiers who were preparing to take over the Donbass region from the residents who were working for the autonomy of Donbass. The USA had biological laboratories developing microbes aimed specifically at the Slavic population.

In the same way that the Slavic population could be targeted by microbes, the Russian-speaking population was also considered inferior, like the Russians during World War II.

The United States and gradually most NATO countries began to support the Nazi appeasement of Ukraine by sending weapons and financial aid.

The demonization of the Russian population and Russianness became permitted throughout Europe. Russian artists, Russian music, Russian classic writers had to be removed from the selections. Russian athletes could not participate in competitions any more than Russian violinists. Only works and films demonizing President Putin passed the censorship.

                                                          ***

As the slaughter of children in Donbass continues, the self-declared region decided to become independent. OSCE observers had discovered that Ukraine's Nazi-led army was about to carry out a major attack in February 2022. To save itself, Donbass announced its independence and, as an independent country, asked neighboring Russia for military assistance.

The guarantors of the Minsk agreements, ex-chancellor Merkel and ex-president Hollande, announced that their guarantee had no real purpose. The Minsk agreements sought time so that the Ukrainian army could be better equipped for war with the help of NATO in order to weaken Russia.

In this way, Russian President Putin saw first hand what it means to not comply with international laws and agreements. It is US/EU led anarchy or fascism.

Every year, the UN votes on how many countries oppose fascism and fascist practices. In recent years, the EU, along with the United States, has joined the ranks of those who at least do not disapprove of fascism.

As the Ukrainian military neared the attack described by OSCE monitors, President Putin put the Russian military on alert. At the request of Donbass, the Russian Duma recognized the independence of the region and, in accordance with international laws, offered to help.

The US president announced: if Russia "attacks" the Nordstream gas pipeline will not be commissioned. German Chancellor Scholtz stood next to him.

Russia announced that it will start a military-technical operation, the goal of which is to secure the residents of Donbass and prevent Ukraine's NATO membership, as well as de-Nazification of the country.

                                                          ***

I have seen several interviews with President Putin. Oliver Stone had an excellent interview in 2015. The most recent and well-known is a special feature of this contemporary fascism: an interview given to American journalist Tucker Carlsson, who was versatile in shedding light on President Putin's worldview.

In the early years of European fascist development, Finnish media also started to become more and more one-sided. The Foreign Policy Institute considered it their right to objectify Russia and think about "what should be done to Russia".

As the atmosphere became more and more hostile, more unilaterally demonizing Russia, I decided to establish, 5 years ago, the FB group "Russians are not my enemies". I followed the Kremlin daily from the site. ru. all the meetings of President Putin with various ministers, civic influencers, organizations, which I shared in the FB group. In addition, I watched the president's annual information and discussion sessions with citizens, which often lasted four hours. In addition, I watched all the important speeches related to the annexation of Crimea to Russia or the elections and annexation of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporizhia to Russia.

I have followed the development of Russia's relations with the former European colonies as they strive to break the last chains of their former colonial hosts and choose Russia as their most important partner.

At the same time that the EU countries dependent on the United States are regressing both mentally and economically, willfully severing their friendly relations with Russia in order to serve the United States, the rest of the world is looking for cooperation with Russia. Europe allowed the United States to blow up its Nordstream gas pipeline as a collaboration of the Biden administration, the CIA and the Norwegian army, as Seymour Hearsh describes, citing his always reliable CIA experts.

                                                       ***

Based on all this, what impression do I have of President Vladimir Putin?

First, he has saved Russia. All presidential terms have been marked by his firm belief in the Russian people and that Russians see who he is. The actors trying to manipulate the president's actions with the intelligence services of foreign countries cannot deceive the Russians.

In interviews, Vladimir Putin has shown himself to be intelligent. He controls entities down to statistics and details. He is interested in all age groups in his own way. He takes care of the well-being of the elderly, families are important, child benefits are increased, but he is especially interested in young people.

Already for my profession, I am interested in the Sirius project, an operating model that combines youth education and administration.

In addition to intelligence, the president is a feeling and sensitive person. Some interviews have even given the impression of shyness. He doesn't brag about his achievements, but he also doesn't hide his judo or swimming skills.

Some encounters, for example with the son of a soldier who died in the war, are so full of warmth and enlivening that it must have been meaningful to that child.

Or the fact that the headdress of a soldier in the honor company had fallen to the ground. The president, hurrying past, stooped to pick up the hat and handed it to its owner with a smile.

                                                         ***

In conclusion, I would like to say that I am glad that the Russians have such a warm, sensitive, fair and accomplished person as their president. No European or US leader comes close to his level.

This year, President Putin leads the BRICS group with Russia as the chairman. BRICS does not participate in the subjugation of any other country. Another important BRICS country, South Africa, is working to solve the genocide in Palestine. Russia's mission in Ukraine is unfinished. When the agreements (Minsk) or democracy do not work, the Nazi regime in Ukraine must be forced into democracy.

It is clear that as long as the United States uses its armed and economic power in Ukraine and Palestine, the NATO-EU countries will not be able to recognize their own weakness.

Russia is saving the residents of Eastern Ukraine from Nazi rule in its own area of responsibility, other countries must save Palestine from the genocide carried out by the Zionists in Israel.

  1. An extremely good and truthful article about Putin and Russia. If anything, this must be available in every media for citizens to read and hear. How, that's another story? Mauno & Co, now brains and bits to start before the whole nation is completely blind and deaf.

  2. Putin shines with an inner wisdom that integrates intuition with emotion and through awareness with holistic vision and wisdom.
Through Putin, Russia and the Russians have progressed and developed as a nation and are ready to work (bottom-up) for each other..

Western leaders embody intelligence through reason, which is used to plan the pursuit of self-interest through emotions, and the reports reflect gnawing contradictions about the traumas of the past and the technical developments, successes and mandatory conquests of the future.

Putin lives in the here and now in an up-to-date and brave and honest way - for him, emotions consist of both negative and positive elements as background factors for decisions.

Western leaders live in their dreams, submitting to macros set in advance and supporting them - for them, emotions consist of both negative and positive elements and, unfortunately, endless orders to assemble a new world order (topDown)..

No looking at the dog by the hair, but when you get familiar with the world view created through time, the moped has disappeared (again) in the western countries and even reason is still guided by hatred and the desire to conquer.

I can only say exclusively and independently .. I am ashamed of the glass heads of my own country, through which you can see how oxygen-free liquids flow and slag makes its dams.

  3. Several US experts have emphasized from the beginning that President Putin has always sought good relations with the West. If this is surprising, it is because the Finnish media has never reported on the matter, and will not do so. I will mention a few of them: Colonel Douglas McGregor, economist Jeffrey Sachs, and weapons observer Scott Ritter. Sachs, of course, is best known to the general public.

Putin presented Russia as a member of NATO because it would have eliminated the confrontation. And Bill Clinton didn't even immediately reject the request, but since the decisions are made in other cabinets, Clinton came back and said that the request would not be accepted. Because what would the arms industry do when the orders run out?

Putin then asked Bush Jr. that the United States stop supporting the Chechen rebels with arms. Bush had a round lip. He didn't know anything about it but promised to intervene. Silence followed, support for the rebels continued. This track was continued, there was the war in Georgia when Putin sat in the stadium in Beijing in 2008 and the Ukrainian riots in Kiev when Putin was in the stadium in Sotsi - Note the timings. The war in Syria continued and Damascus was falling into the hands of extremist Islamists supported by the West. Syria asked for help and Russia helped.

As evesti McGregor has warned: Try to understand that there is no more moderate leader than Putin. Nothing seems to make him lose his temper. His successor may be much more radical.

On the other hand, it must be remembered that the West lives in a bubble. The majority of world governments, China, India, etc. have sincerely congratulated the president on the election result. The Global South has the majority of the world's peoples, from which the West is increasingly isolated.

    1. After all, when congratulating Putin on his election victory, the Chinese leader said in a byline that "China and Russia will continue their strategic planning together." Pretty strong statement, in my opinion.

    2. Putin will not be provoked, even though the entire West has tried to do so almost throughout his presidency. Going to Ukraine in 2022 was also not a provocation, but a quick and coldly considered act that had to be done (and was done only after Ukraine had started its major attack on Donbass). Otherwise, the Nazi regime in Ukraine would have committed genocide in the style of Netanyahu in Donbass. Even now, it is bombarding the civilians of Donbass with artillery shells and missiles. The targets are especially schools, kindergartens, markets, etc., all places where there are a lot of people.

Without Putin, it could also be that we wouldn't be writing here, when some steamhead (they are probably on both sides) would have pressed that "red button". The West is playing a dangerous game and it depends solely on the survival of humanity. As Putin has said. Russia will not start a nuclear war, but will respond to one that starts one with all its arsenal. We'll meet again. Don't know when – don't know where, but we'll meet again…

  4. Thanks for the great analysis! In the crazy mill run by the Western political elite and the mainstream media, such writings give hope that the common sense of the former world will one day still prevail.

    1. The hope of awakening is a long way behind thanks to the manipulations of different channels. Especially when after the end of the special operation, the 2500 assault rifles given by Kaikonen will return to the market!!!

  5. Thanks for this good summary and explanation Pirko! – The actual click title…

However, all of this is branded as propaganda by the mainstream media - and Joppe Joutomie. The events during the Orange coup, with people shot and burned, have already been buried under the rest of the news stream, anyone who doesn't follow politics hardly remembers the whole thing.

And where have people's tears been for the children who died in the civil war in eastern Ukraine? In one of the news clips, I saw a glimpse of a small monument roughly built of stones somewhere in eastern Ukraine in memory of these children, made by the residents. Teddy bears and dolls were attached to it. Propaganda too, in a remote village in Ukraine?

I've been thinking about why Finns don't see this progress of neo-fascism. I've been eagerly waiting for some intellectual reaction to Ukrainian neo-Nazis in the Finnish media, but the chosen course of action is laughable. "Nazis in Ukraine, huh? Putin's propaganda! And there are them in Russia as well." It's good, anyway, that the extreme right-wing roots of the Azov guard have been brought up in the articles of Yle and HS in 2022, albeit to a lesser extent.

This blindness can be caused by the fact that people have a simplified understanding of fascism from American movies. There should be swastika flags, Nazi officers speaking German with broken English, Nazi doctors wearing thin-rimmed glasses, book shelves and other familiar imagery before an educated Finnish person understands: aha, this is fascism.

When the Ukrainian neo-Nazis abused a member of the Greek parliament who was on a working visit in Odessa several years before this war, it wasn't even reported in Finland?

And newer fascism appears in the Finnish media as a relatively harmless phenomenon of young fanatics; it still means bald to many people Shaved heads, trench coats and boots in the skinhead style of the 1990s.

Both Rolling Stone magazine already wrote in its report in 2015 about the "hipsterification" of Nazis taking place in Germany: neo-Nazis who go to Nazi gatherings dressed as Brooklyn hipsters and listen to neo-Nazi techno and even Nazi reaction. The goal with this popularization is to reach young people on social media and enter the mainstream with a less recognizable appearance.

It is also strange that our country's intelligentsia has silently accepted the total censorship of material coming from Russia in our media, even though it should raise doubts about what is going on.

If people are not given the opportunity to evaluate for themselves the political analyzes presented by Russia, for example on Russia TV, but are actively prevented from getting into people's eyes - what function does democracy have anymore? Its essential prerequisites include the free transmission of information, and it is frightening how uncritically even Finnish intellectuals have accepted this war censorship, even though Finland is not even at war.

The government goes to great lengths to protect us so that we don't have too many difficult questions to ponder.

    1. "Why the Finns.." I would change the form of the question to why the Finnish power elite.. That is a really important point that democracy does not work if people do not get to know the truth about things. Unfortunately, after years of skilful priming, the brainwashing of the people has been carried out so effectively that few people notice that they have reached the peak of hatred and fear of Russia on false grounds.

I still suspect racism as the biggest motive for the line chosen by the political leadership in Finland. Their actions look like they don't know anything about anything, but I guess they can't really be as ignorant as they seem to be. In addition to racism, good guesses for the motives of their actions are, in my opinion, greed (money, power, territorial conquests, natural resources) and pleasing the circles of interest they perceive to be close to them (USA, Britain, EU, Baltic trauma states, Sweden, which has always hated the Russians, the world's economic elite).

The current state of illness in the West (whether it's fascism, Nazism or what, I don't know) is hard to fathom, but I'm sure history can find something similar, albeit on a smaller scale. My knowledge is very superficial, but isn't the popularity of fascism and Nazism during WW2 (and not least in Finland!) reminiscent of modern times. If it was possible for whole nations to get sick then, it is probably still possible today.

    2. "Why Finns don't see this progress of neo-fascism, that's what I've been thinking about." - I've been thinking exactly the same thing. I recently listened to a really good academic discussion about this history of fascism and fascism as a phenomenon. The discussion was produced by Gabriel Rockhill's Critical Theory Workshop, and as an expert on fascism, the discussion was started by prof. Helmut-Harry Loewen from Canadian University.

There are liberal and more traditionally Marxist definitions of fascism. According to Marxist theories, the economic elite encourages the rise of fascism in a situation where the social situation becomes ripe for revolution, for example, when the economic situation of the majority of citizens has deteriorated to an intolerable level and labor struggles intensify.

      1. I'm currently reading Jack London's book Rautakorko for the third time. Unbelievable that a good 100 years ago Jack already knew how to write about these things so exhaustively. The times are much otherwise similar, except for the weapons and their destructive power has multiplied a million times. The risk of the entire earth being destroyed is real.

  6. It was a great text, clarifying things. Someone said that when this article was made available to Finns to read, they would know the truth about the war, what the Finnish news says is a war of aggression. Reading this makes my day so much brighter! I'm actually happier. I myself would have done something similar to what Putin did before. I have also listened to and watched his interviews, and I agree with his wisdom! (even the same hobby Judo, as he has) Having visited Russia myself with more than 10 years of experience, as citizens they are much friendlier than us Finns!

  7. Thanks for the article! Putin is certainly a good president for the majority of Russians. Where else would a political leader of a similar level emerge for Finland? Sometimes I wonder if these diamonds only rise from the ashes, through hard experiences?

Another fine and warm-hearted politician in today's world has caught my attention when it comes to defending the Palestinians: South African Defense Minister Naledi Pandor.

  8. Denial of facts and outright lying cannot continue forever. The facts are in front of Finns sooner or later. I just have to hope that it doesn't happen until after everything is lost.

  9. What is the relationship between nationalism and fascism? Can someone open this?

I read somewhere that fascism is nationalism based on physical violence. It seems that nationalism is somehow considered more harmless, and as some form of patriotism anyway.

The harmfulness or usefulness of nationalism for the nation depends on how "nation" is defined. If belonging to the nation requires the same language and the same ethnic heritage, we will soon be in trouble like Ukraine with its EU membership... all the minorities don't seem to fit into the Ukrainian nation.

Matti Klinge pointed out many times that nationalism and patriotism are different things.

  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZVCyHnjO4w

China invades the US border. Since the United States is trying to invade Taiwan against Nixon's one-China agreement, which was made fifty years ago, China has decided to pay the price and attack the US border, Mexico.

However, China will not come with the support of aircraft carriers and fighter jets, but with even greater contributions, i.e. entire factories, which it will establish with billions of investments in Mexico. The main reason is the protectionist trade policy of the United States, which requires manufacturing on the North American continent, in its three countries. The second reason is Mexico's own growing market, and the third is the growing trend to place manufacturing closer to customers where applicable.

Cyrys Janssen explains in more detail in the video link, about 10 min. According to Janssen, both consumers and assembly plants in the United States are involved in the plot. Both are interested in quality and price. The country's government is trying to counter the crank with little success.

  11. Patriotism is loving one's country and wanting to act for its best. The etymology of the word is in the Latin word "patria" or fatherland: "Pro patria" or for the fatherland. Several different ethnic groups can fit inside one and the same motherland, for example, in Russia, in addition to Russians, there are Tsetsen, Karelians and other ethnic groups as citizens. This is also the case in Finland, where in addition to Finns, Finno-Swedes and Sami people live.

In nationalism, the idea of nationality, which became popular in the 1800th century, is based on the premise that such ethnic groups form a nationality and therefore should also have their own territory that they can govern independently. At its best, nationalism is a healthy interest in one's own cultural roots and the recognition of national cultural heritage and one's own identity.

But the dark side of nationalism, or perhaps rather extreme nationalism, is the desire for an ethnically pure state and the tendency to treat those who are "strangers" in that nationally pure ideal state with a perverse and discriminatory attitude. Nationalism is at its worst when it involves the belief that one's own ethnic group is somehow more developed or more valuable than other, "lower" nationalities, which can then be subjugated, enslaved or killed, in the path of the "master race" to conquer the world.

    1. (Of course, many other ethnicities and immigrants also live in Finland today, the largest group of which is ethnic Russians, but Swedish-speakers and Sami people have a special status in Finnish legislation.)

    2. Of course, this difference is also easy to open through an example:

Putin is a patriot: he clearly loves his country deeply and strives to act in the best interests of its citizens. There is also a nationalist in him to some extent: he clearly also values his own Russian cultural heritage and the Orthodox Church as part of it.

At the same time, however, he strives in his speeches and actions to clearly highlight his position that all forms of racism and discrimination against other ethnic populations in Russia are unpatriotic. In Russia, as far as I can tell, efforts have been made to protect the linguistic, cultural and religious rights of different ethnic groups. It requires great statesmanship from the ruler to keep such a multinational state together. Putin has been a good conductor in this.

Ukraine - well, that's an example of what happens when you start fueling extreme nationalism and demand within a state made up of many ethnic groups that all its ethnic minorities (e.g. Russian, Hungarian and Greek speakers) suddenly use only the Ukrainian language.
Israel, of course, in its own Jewish nationalism based on religion, is also a sadly warning example.

      1. This is already going far from the topic, but patriotism is also a difficult concept for "new Finns": for example, a son born in Finland to Somali parents has his homeland in Somalia. What is the glue that holds the inhabitants of a country together if it is not the idea of belonging to the same nation and common roots?

  12. VERY GOOD WRITING
The article also reveals how totally wrong the mainstream media is about Putin. The world is dividing into two camps; BRICS countries and US-led countries. It's a pity that Finland has chosen wrongly. Finland's mainstream media pushes Russia-hatred with full steam. Behind everything are the leading forces of the USA (military industry, Zionists), who strive for world power. The WEF and the UN are also subordinated to US policy. The DCA agreement is the most damaging agreement in Finland's history, which will lead Finland to a total war against Russia. It is still possible to change Finland's direction if the people learn the truth. Media like the neighborhood association are needed to bring the light of truth to the people.

  13. Thank you, Pirkko Marjatta, for this summary and assessment. I have often wondered where I got so much information about President Putin. I remember when he spoke to the oligarchs and demanded that the workers have to get their wages and he said that the oligarchs have wealth but because of that they also have a responsibility that they have to redeem. I have belonged to that Facebook group, so I have obviously received clips through it that have stuck in my mind. The feeling I have towards Putin was strengthened when Marti and I read your writing.
Today I had enough courage to tell the person who said he was afraid of Putin's "whims". Even though I am a "feeling person", I am easily overcome by emotion, I was able to calmly explain that I am much more worried about the American military power in our country than the actions of Vladimir Putin. I was also able to calmly tell you that Putin has never threatened us and that he said “Why would I try to take over other countries? I mentioned that Russia has enough land and resources on its own. I also told about the war in Ukraine and how it started with the coup in 2014, when MPs were threatened and kicked out of the Rada, and how people were tortured and killed and, among other things, Russians were declared subhuman. I told about the Donbass self-defense groups that they organized when the fascist groups attacked them. And I told you about what the observers of the OSCE observed from February 16.2.2022, XNUMX, when the shooting intensified towards the residents of Donbass. Another person was listening, but I don't know what he was thinking. But I am grateful that I was able to keep my composure. Partly thanks to your article, partly thanks to those video clips where I got to listen live with translation to what President Vladimir Putin actually said. I also have both Matti Rossi's book on the subject and Sawka's and Jaques Baud's books.

  14. Makes you wonder why such an article has been published? Just as if a pre-teen looks at the object of his crush through rose-colored glasses. After watching this activity of the neighborhood club, the character from JRR Tolkien's classic "Grima Kärmekieli" inevitably comes to mind. I wonder why?

    1. With all due respect: when the neighbor's president is being slandered with lies, it takes courage to remain matter-of-fact. I have listened to the videos of what this black painted person REALLY says and it is something completely different from what the official propaganda claims. Russia is a big country and it really requires skill to lead it. It is really low to slander another person with lies. That smear propaganda is aimed at war. If Finland's decision-makers were wise, they would try again to interact with the president of the neighboring country. Peace can be maintained mainly through diplomatic means, threats and the use of force are violence. Respecting the other person requires that you listen to what the other person really says and respond to it from your own starting point.

The war in Ukraine could have been avoided if the OSCE countries had begun to discuss the European security structure with Russia. Russia asked for opinions on that matter, but no one could INDEPENDENTLY answer it. I was surprised when Sanna Marin and Sauli Niinistö, after receiving Lavrov's letter, shouted that they were trying to break our "common front".

Rosy admiration is different from respecting another. It seems to me that many public figures feel exactly the same way about Volodymyr Zelensky.

    2. Joppe, have you really not read any factual writing here? In my opinion, in addition to emotional outbursts, there is a lot of factual and intellectual analysis and discussion here. I don't agree with everything, but I appreciate fact-based discussion.

It is confusing that you see the authors of the site as the most negative character in "Lord of the Rings". I think that we who write here are sincere, maybe sincerely wrong in some things, but we are not opportunists like Grima, nor are we slytherins. And we are not looking for our own interest, as many of the representatives of the political elite are looking for.

I personally see Häkkänen, dark Valtonen and other warmongers in Finland, to use the "Lord of the Rings" simile, as having the same mental disorder as Sauron in that book/movie. He is enchanted by the attraction of violence, even though he was good and wise in the beginning.

Would it have happened to you, Joppe, like that boy Kai in Andersen's fairy tale, who gets the chips of the broken mirror made by Tihulainen in his eye and heart, and then saw everything distorted?

        1. Grima was not a gullible fool, but calculating, deceitful and power-hungry. His additional name is in the work Kärmekieli. Is that the name of a gullible fool?

This is how you can apparently read and interpret the same work in different ways. Now I understand why Joppe you don't understand the writings of the people here: because you read reality differently than we do. Time will decide who sees more precisely, because time is the mother of truth.

  15. Thanks Pirkko! The purpose of the West is to break up Russia and try to control its huge natural resources. It would be peculiar and stupid for the head of the country not to respond to the West's attempt. I would say that Putin has reacted as a responsible ruler would react. Keeping a great power together is not easy, especially when the bayonets of the West are pointed to the East.

You wrote correctly Pirkko! It may well be that the USA's own researchers will reveal what the issue is. Since the countdown did not start in February 2022, but earlier, maybe we will get some light from them for a longer time. Even information about US plans to change the world order.

About the still sad situation in Gaza, where "God's chosen nation" destroys innocent children and another "nation protected by surveillance" looks on (Usa). When will government funding to the support organization be returned. The media doesn't seem to be interested either.

  16. I just watched Medvedev's speech with English subtitles on Youtube, posted there a couple of weeks ago.

In his speech, Medvedev says that the most important feature of states are borders. Next, he distinguishes between "geopolitical borders" and "strategic borders" and says that Russia's strategic borders are wider than geopolitical borders.

What is he talking about? I think it's simply about the need for buffer states for the security of a great power, not about Russia conquering its neighbors. That's how that statement has been understood anyway.

The presence of neutral countries between the alliances would indeed increase Europe's security, but that has been made impossible. And the great war is made possible precisely through alliances.

Second, Medvedev talks about Russia in a very pathos tone, about how Russia defends Russia everywhere and does not leave Russians alone. For us Finns, a small nation and culture, this is strange talk. We do not have the kind of national feeling that Russian leaders appeal to when they speak to their people.

The fraternal relationship between the peoples of Ukraine and Russia may not have been fully understood in the West either. Many Russian families have members of both nations. When Medvedev says: "Ukraine is Russia", does that mean he wants Ukraine to be part of Russia? I personally don't interpret it that way, but that he is talking about Slavism and the countries' common history, after all, Ukraine has been part of Russia since the days of the empire.

In the speech, Medvedev also says that the West has always tried to defeat Russia and now wants to drive it back to the ancient situation where Russia meant Moscow. By this he refers to the time of the Grand Duchy of Moscow in the 1200th-1400th centuries, before the unification of Russia. - This is how the determined actions of the West seem to me, after all, Europe is about to be armed to the teeth.

His analysis of the USA's ultimate goals ("make money") is also apt for me. All in all, I didn't find propaganda in the speech, but things presented from Russia's point of view. But that's precisely what is labeled as propaganda, so that there's no need to analyze the claims presented at all.

Arja Paananen said today in "The Last Word" that Putin tells lies after lies, but does not give a single example.

    1. Ukraine is not only a part of Russia since the days of the empire. The region of Ukraine is the birthplace of the Russian people, i.e. the region where the first Russian state was born/founded in the 800th century. Historians speak of Kievan Rus. From there, the Russians spread to the northeast and established their new capital in Moscow. After that, the Russians who remained in the Kiev area were called Little Russians. Even at the beginning of the 1900th century, linguists considered the Ukrainian language to be only one dialect of Russian. Ukraine is a very young country.

Ukraine is therefore a more important place for Russians than just a former Soviet state. Apparently, the great evil empire knew this when they struck right at it and caused this peculiar military operation. After all, the Russians didn't react in any strange way when, for example, the former NL state of Georgia became independent and literally ran "to the skirts of the West". Only when they tried to expand towards Russia and conquer South Ossetia did Russia react. This war in Ukraine is the same resistance to the continuation of Western expansion.

As I recall, Crimea was conquered by Russia in 1789 by Empress Catherine II from the Ottoman Empire. If Crimea should be returned to its original owners, it should be returned to Turkey's Erdogan! Crimeans are 90% Russian (not even Ukrainian Russians). The rest are Crimean Tatars (Ottoman refugees). Almost no Crimean wants to return to Ukraine. Some 90 percent voted for joining Russia in the referendum.

The United States is truly a "cradle to grave business". Everything happens on business terms. Many areas of society that are managed by public authorities in Europe are private businesses there. I'll mention prisons as an example. The sentences are long, which ensures the continuity of the business and the conditions are harsh (the less invested in the prisoners' conditions, the greater the profit). I really wouldn't want to be a prisoner in the US. Prison conditions in Finland are compared to that in a rest home. Unfortunately, Europe is rapidly catching up with the United States in many respects. Everything just gets worse.

As for Paanasee, his writings are lies after lies and each one is an example and provable as a lie. The only unclear thing is whether Paananen does it as a 100% brainwashed fool, out of malice, out of compulsion or out of greed? Maybe the mainstream media pays better for writing the hardest?

      1. About Paanasen: the honor probably hurts the self-esteem, after all, a big award was just given to Paanasen. And of course, a journalist who supports the so-called dominant narrative.
